We are saddened by the loss of poet Cami Park, a huge contributor to the writing community online and print, and also a jmww author:
Flying or Falling
One day, unconvinced of the best intentions
of physics, you leave the earth.
The first thing you notice is what is rendered
moot, like feet,
and of the five senses,
balance, the constant compromise
between a policy of science and a lawless mind.
Then, you notice the view. At this distance
everything looks well-planned,
pristine. You wonder what damage
a penny might do.—Cami Park, from the summer 2007 issue of jmww.
