When I was doing my taxes this year, I was astounded by the amount I spent on submission fees. Three dollars here, two dollars there, twenty-five dollars for a contest—it all adds up. And because disposable income is not always a luxury, or any income at all these days, many writers are finding themselves increasingly unable to submit work to journals. Here at jmww, we’ve never charged submission fees, and we never will. We also read year-round, so if you find yourself with a little extra time these days and a lot of new writing on your laptop—send it our way. We’d love to see what you’ve been working on. Most of all, we hope you’re healthy and safe.—Jen and the Editors at jmww
