Poetry: We’re Marching by Lauren K. Watel

Lauren K. Watel’s poetry, fiction, and essays have recently been published in The New York Review of Books, The Hudson Review, World Literature Today, Pithead Chapel, Sugar House Review, and Ploughshares and are forthcoming in Literary ImaginationLake Effect, and Birmingham Poetry Review. Her essay “Hunger” appeared in Prairie Schooner as the honorable mention of the 2021 Summer Essay Contest. Her prose poem honoring Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg was set to music by Pulitzer-winning composer Ellen Taaffe Zwilich, and the piece premiered at the Dallas Symphony.
